Is an Israel and Iran War Imminent?

Elam, modern day Iran, is mentioned in the Bible in many places. But, one mention of particular importance is the following prophecy from the Book of Jeremiah:

"34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

35 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

36 And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the Lord; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the Lord.

39 But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the Lord."

This scripture describes what is undoubtedly the most terrifying event any living being on earth could experience: God’s fierce wrath. The prophecy describes God bringing his fierce anger against Elam, or Iran, and sending his sword after the nation. Verse 39 indicates that the very same will take place in the last days, in which we are firmly now situated.

Iran’s recent attack against Israel was unprecedented. Iran and its proxies launched over 350 projectiles, including missiles and drones, against the tiny state of Israel just days ago. Jerusalem, the same city in which God has written his name forever, was directly targeted by Iran. Without question, Iran's actions just started an Israel and Iran War to some degree.

Astonishingly, over 99% of the projectiles were intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces and its allies. Israel, against Iran’s warnings, has vowed that it will retaliate soon. If Israel doesn’t respond to Iran’s attack within the next few days, it likely will soon after Passover which runs from April 22nd through April 30th this year.

Perfectly following along with biblical prophecy, Russia has shown its support for Iran, and China has not denounced it. Many experts in eschatology believe that these events will result in the Final War of Ezekiel 38, I agree. I believe that we can expect the rapture to take place at any moment and the antichrist to rise, bringing a false peace to the Middle East and to the world as scripture foretells us.
